In US news and current events today, a man has died after attempting an underwater proposal for his girlfriend at a luxury floating hotel in Pemba Island, Tanzania. Steven Weber proposed to his girlfriend Kenesha Antoine while the two were staying in an underwater hotel room at the Manta Resort. Proposal video shows Weber swimming up to the glass. The State Department confirmed a U.S. tourist died in Tanzania but gave no further details about a marriage proposal or underwater room. The Manta Resort issued a statement on September 21st.
