Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s goal secures playoffs for the LA Galaxy

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristian Pavon each notched a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win vs. Real Salt Lake to clinch a playoff spot for the LA Galaxy at Rio Tinto Stadium. RSL had the better chances early on, with Sam Johnson managing to hit both Galaxy posts in one shot on goal. The visitors picked up momentum after halftime and were rewarded when Ibrahimovic set up Cristian Pavon to charge down the opposition half and slot the ball past Nick Rimando. Pavon returned the favor by teeing up Zlatan to smash in the Galaxy’s second for his 27th goal of the season. Nedum Onuoha scored a late consolation goal to make it 2-1 in the Galaxy’s third straight win, moving them up to third in the Western Conference.
